Texas A&M’s class of 2016 campaign started out incredibly well, with the Aggies going 6-0 and also being ranked No. 4 in the initial College Football Playoff rankings.
Though it didn’t end as fans hoped, there were still some individual highlights.
Junior defensive end Myles Garrett was a consensus first-team All-American before going on to become the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft. Senior quarterback Trevor Knight won the Wuerffel Trophy, which is annually awarded to the player “who best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.”
This week, both players had their names etched permanently into Kyle Field for those honors.
